Let's go on the trip from the smallest to the largest !!!



The String (hypothetical)

The String theory says that everything in the possible universe is made up of point-like vibrating particles called strings.


The Elementary Particles

Elementary particles are the sub-atomic or fundamental particles that are not formed by any further particles. They are of 4 types: Quarks, Leptons, Scalar, and Vector Bosons. Among them, Quarks are the smallest. The elementary particles form proton, neutron, and electron.


The Sub-atomic particles

Proton, neutron, and electrons are the sub-atomic particles. These particles form atoms. Proton and neutron form the nucleus whereas electron revolves around the nucleus in orbits. Electrons are the lightest among these three.


 
The Atoms

Atoms are chargeless and participate in the chemical reaction. They form molecules and elements.


The Radicals and The Ions

A radical is an atom or group of atoms that behave as a single unit in the chemical compound and contains at least one unpaired electron. 
Ion is an atom or group of atoms carrying charge as a result of giving or gaining electrons. It is of two types cation (positively charged) and anion (negatively charged).



The Molecules

The molecules are the group of atoms connected by a chemical bond. It is the smallest unit of a substance. They form elements.



The Elements

Element is a substance that can neither be broken down into pieces nor build-up from pieces. They are made up of atoms. There are 118 elements known till now. Among them, 92 are natural, and the remaining are synthesized.


The Compounds and The Mixtures

Compound is the substance formed from molecules of elements united in a fixed proportion. There are more than 350,000 compounds till now. A mixture is the combination of different things in an undefined manner. Most of the things that we see are made up of these terms.

The Meteoroids

Meteoroids are small pieces of stony or metallic matter that may enter in earth's atmosphere due to its gravity. They are specially of two types: Meteors which are smaller that are destroyed in the atmosphere due to friction and meteorite are the bigger ones that are not destroyed in the atmosphere and may form a crater in the land. Hoba is the largest meteoroid.



The Comets

Comets are the frozen chunk of gases, dust, and ice that resembles a star having a tail when it approaches the sun. Its size varies but approximately,, comets are about 10 km. Bernardinelli-Bernstein is the largest comet known.


The Asteroids

Asteroids, aka minor or baby planets, lie in the asteroid belt between 1.7 AU and 4 AU in between the orbit of Mars and Jupiter. Their size may vary from less than 1 km to a hundred km in diameter. Pallas is the largest asteroid known.



The Natural Satellites

Satellites are the objects that revolve around the planets due to the planet's gravity. In our solar system, every planet except mercury and venus has satellites. Earth's satellite is the moon and the largest satellite in our solar system is Jupiter's Ganymede.



The Dwarf Planets

Dwarf planets are objects that fail to become planets due to certain reasons. Pluto is the largest known satellite. 



The Planets

Planets are objects that revolve around stars. In our solar system, There are eight planets and we live on earth. Jupiter is the largest and mercury is the smallest among them. But TrES-4b is the largest planet known in the universe.
[ Fun fact: Jupiter is known as a failed star because although it has a huge size, it was able to start nuclear fusion. ]


The Stars

Stars are the giants of gases in which nuclear fusion happens that gives light and heat energy in the form of radiation. The sun is a medium-sized star having a radius of about 435,00 miles. The largest known star is UY Scuti. Black holes are formed when the center of a very massive star collapse in itself.


The Nebulas

Nebula is the enormous cloud of gas and dust occupying the space between stars that form the new stars if compressed. The Tarantula is the largest and most active star-forming region in our galactic neighborhood.



The Solar Systems

The solar system is the system of a star and objects revolving around it like planets, meteors, satellites, and asteroids. The sun is the star of our solar system.


The Constellations

Constellations are the group of stars that do not change their position respective to each other and form a fixed pattern. There are 88 constellations known. Among them, Hydra is the largest.



The Black holes

Black holes are the possibly largest single object in the universe. These are formed when a massive star collapses in itself decreasing its size but as the mass remains the same, it will have an immense gravity making it so powerful that even light can't escape from it. It continuously takes everything inside and increases its mass and size. The common black holes, stellar black holes are typically 10-mile in diameter but weigh around 20 times the mass of the sun. But the biggest black holes that are supermassive black holes that are present in the center of galaxies and have masses of more than one million suns ! The largest black hole ever known is Quasar TON 618 having a mass of around fucking 66 billion suns !!!



The Galaxies

The galaxy is the gravitational bound of stars, gas, dust, solar systems, nebulas, constellations, dark matter, etc. There are literally hundreds of billions of stars in galaxies. Our solar system is in the Milky Way galaxy which has the size of 52,850 Light Years. Alcyoneus is the largest galaxy known which is 160 times wider than our galaxy !



The Supercluster / Galactic group

Superclusters are a group of galaxies. Our milky way is part of the local group. Laniakea  Supercluster is the biggest supercluster ever known containing about 100,000 galaxies with a mass of about 100 million billion times of the sun having a diameter of 520 million light-years ! They are the largest Supercluster are the largest gravitationally bound objects.


The Universe

The universe is everything. All the spacetime is in the universe. It has no boundaries. Although the observable universe is about 93 billion light-years in diameter. But the real size of the universe is more than you could ever think of ! It is also because the universe is expanding at the speed more than the speed of light.


The Multiverse ! ( Hypothetical )

The multiverse is the hypothetical thing that is the group of the infinite universe !
